Everyone handles a breakup in their own, personal way. For most men, vegetating in front of the TV for a few weeks, mostly wearing grubby boxers and occasionally going out to get pissed is customary. But not for Hollywood's Ashton Kutcher.
The That 70s Show star has revealed that his post-split activities after the breakdown of his marriage with Demi Moore were anything but routine.
Rather than lying on the sofa, binging Netflix and sculling tinnies, Kutcher decided what he needed was to get back to nature... in the most isolated way imaginable. The 40-year-old star headed deep into the woods, where he lived off nothing but water and tea for an entire week.
During his period of recuperation, Kutcher even ditched his laptop, phone and all other tech so that he was completely cut off from the outside world. Naturally, it wasn't long before the hallucinations began.
"Right after I got divorced, I went to the mountains for a week by myself. I went into Big Sky in Montana, and I did no food, no drink - just water and tea," he told pal Dax Shephard on his new podcast Armchair Expert.
He continued: "I took all my computers away, my phone, my everything. I was there by myself so there was no talking, and I just had a notepad and a pen and water and tea for a week."
"I started to hallucinate on like day 2 which was fantastic.
"It was pretty wonderful. I was doing tai chi with my own energy."
When he wasn't doing tai chi with stuff that wasn't there, Kutcher occupied his time by getting introspective about past splits.
"I wrote down every single relationship that I had where I felt like there was some grudge or some anything and then I wrote letters to every single person and sent the letters on day 7. I typed them all out and sent them."

Moore and Kutcher wed in 2005 and split six years later. At the time of the breakup, each released separate statements, with Kutcher saying: "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail."
In her statement, Moore said: "It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life."
Thankfully, he seems to have now recovered from the emotional break-up, being happily married to actress Mila Kunis with two kids, Wyatt and Dimitri.
