Big-hearted Ben Stiller has once again proven the selfless good Samaritan.

The 51-year-old Meet the Parents star helped to raise over $1million (£810K) to provide food and aid for desperate Somalis.

Collaborating with Vine and Snapchat star Jerome Jarre, Stiller reached out over twitter, urging Turkish Airlines to send essential aid supplies to the famine-stricken country.

Posting an impassioned video, the pair manged to raise the big money in less than 24 hours. They're now aiming for $2million.

In the video, Stiller details the appalling situation faced by Somalis as famine and drought scour the region.

With help from friends, including NFL star Colin Kaepernick, YouTuber Casey Neistat, and their followers, the A-lister ensured donations to promise 60 tons of supplies, according to the Daily Mail.

Turkish Airlines is in a singular position to help, being the only commercial airliner flying directly to Somalia - pledging that this shipment will be the first of many.
