Brooklyn Beckham Surprises Dad David On His Birthday

David Beckham was left teary-eyed when Brooklyn made a surprise visit on his birthday.

The former United star was celebrating his 43rd birthday at a restaurant alongside his wife Victoria and their three youngest children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, when their eldest rocked up from New York, where he studies photography.

Seemingly in on the surprise, earlier in the day, Victoria had shared a photo of David with the three youngest, adding that they were all missing Brooklyn. However just a few hours later the 19-year-old walked into the restaurant leaving a shocked David in tears.

As he spots his son, David can be heard saying: "What are you doing here? What are you doing here?" over and over again.

While little Harper adds: "I didn't know Brooklyn was coming."

Brooklyn tells his dad: "Are you OK? Happy birthday...I just landed." The pair then hug for so long I thought my Instagram had crashed...but no, they're just very happy to see each other. How cute is that?

Victoria, who filmed and shared the clip, posted it alongside the caption: "The biggest surprise of the day....Welcome home @brooklynbeckham X happy birthday @davidbeckham I love u so much x kisses."

Sharing the same video to his own account, David wrote: "Best birthday surprise, my big boy coming home @brooklynbeckham @victoriabeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven."

Becks also shared some photos of his birthday cards and presents, answering the age-old question 'what do you get the man who has everything?' Keys to a wine cellar and a Colin the Caterpillar cake, apparently.

It's good to know that even when you're a multi-million and in your 40s you're never too good for a slice of Colin the Caterpillar. I mean, what is a birthday without the delicious caterpillar, really.

Among the photos he shared on his Instagram account was one of the properly adorable card Harper wrote to him in which she called him 'Super Daddy'. While son Romeo wrote: "You are the best dad in the world!"

He was also gifted some fancy wine glasses in a Louis Vuitton case - nice.
