Chris Rock Reveals He Was Rejected By Rihanna

Chris Rock is pretty slick, but according to the great man himself, not quite slick enough. Well, certainly not slick enough for Rihanna.

The comedian has a new special out on Netflix and in it, he recounts a story about his attempt to hit on the Bahamian superstar and the catastrophic results.

"After my divorce was final, I was at a party and I saw Rihanna, I was like, 'OK, let's start this again. Let me say what's up', right?' And I'm like, 'How are you doing, Rihanna?'" said the comedian.

Turning to the audience, he then follows with: "Do you ever forget how old you are? Rihanna looked at me like I was one of her aunts. She didn't even register me as a dick-carrying member of society. Like, I would have had an easier time fucking Aretha Franklin."

Of course, there are two ways to read this. On one hand, Chris Rock is one of the funniest men on earth, not to mention loaded, and hardly bad looking, so he backs himself enough to have a crack.

On the other, he's a 53 year old man hitting on a woman a quarter of a century younger than him. We'll let you decide whether his confidence was misplaced.

Chris Rock has never hidden his love of the Umbrella singer. In his opening monologue while hosting the Oscars back in 2016, after Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, boycotted the event in solidarity with the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag. "Jada said she's not coming. Isn't she on a TV show? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties. I wasn't invited," he quipped.

Rock returned with this Netflix special, which is his first since his divorce from Malaak Compton-Rock after nearly 20 years of marriage. The pair split up after Rock's admission of cheating on his wife and his addiction to porn.

He mentions the porn addiction in the new material, describing himself as 'sexually autistic' and saying "You get desensitized. When you start watching porn, any porn will do. Then, later one, you're all fucked up, and you need a perfect porn cocktail to get you off."

As for Rihanna, she probably doesn't need to consider Chris Rock. She's dated Chris Brown - who was convicted for assaulting her - as well as Drake, rapper Travis Scott and baseball star Matt Kemp.

She's thought to currently be dating Hassan Jameel, a Saudi businessman with a reported wealth of $1.5 billion.
