She hasn't let the disability hold her back, appearing in several TV shows and now a movie slated for release in 2019.

If you've seen Millie Bobby Brown on late night American talk shows, she appears to be this ultra confident child star with the world at her feet. At the tender age of 13, the Stranger Things actor has shown she's one of the best in the business.

However, she manages to do all that with a disability. Millie can't actually hear herself properly because she was born with partial deafness in one ear. After a few years it went completely and now she just goes off instinct and other people's guidance.

Not only can she act, but she is also known to be able to bust out a note or two.

The young actor has told Variety: "You don't have to be good at singing. You don't have to be good at dancing or acting. If you like to do it, if you genuinely enjoy doing it, then do it. No one should stop you."

She wowed everyone when she sang lyrics from Nicki Minaj's part in 'Monster' and even rapped her own recap of season one of Stranger Things. But there could even be a better collaboration in the works: drizzy Drake.

The 13-year-old was born and raised in England, but her family moved to the US when she told her parents she wanted to act. She was only eight.

Millie adds: "I know this sounds crazy, but once I find something I want to do, nobody's stopping me. If I don't know how to sew, and I really had that passion to sew, that's it, I'm going to sew. That's also with acting. So here I am."

But it wasn't as if she stepped off the plane and landed the career-defining role of Eleven in Stranger Things.

She first appeared in single episodes of NCIS, Modern Family and Grey's Anatomy before she hit it big with The Duffer Brothers' creation.

"I felt at one point I couldn't do it [anymore], but then I got this and everything changed," says Millie.

Once that series took off, she was on everyone's lips, even though she had the least amount of dialogue. But it all got too much at one point and she had to pull out of Collective Con due to exhaustion.

She posted a video on Instagram, saying: "I just think I've worked too hard and I have to rest as I've had a really long shoot and I'm still filming Stranger Things. I'm sorry to everyone who's going and I promise you guys I'm going to get back to you."

Stranger Things is expected to continue for at least another two seasons, but the actor has already started finding new projects. It's not known what role she'll play, but she's confirmed she'll be in the 2019 Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
