Harrison Ford Stops Being Grumpy For A Second In Hilarious Interview

Harrison Ford Stops Being Grumpy For A Second In Hilarious Interview

He seemed to be in a very good mood that morning...

The original Blade Runner star is known for his dry sense of humour and often grumpy attitude when it comes to giving interviews. It's probably all those years being a part of the Star Wars franchise and being asked every question under the sun.

However, Ford was in a surprisingly good mood when he sat down with This Morning's Alison Hammond to promote the rebooted neo-noir sci-fi classic Blade Runner 2049 with Ryan Gosling.

Alison told Ford and Gosling they managed to bring glasses that were exact replicas of the ones used in the first Blade Runner movie. Ryan asked his interviewer whether she is a fan of the original, she bluntly replies: "Never seen it."

That got a huge chuckle out of Ryan, but Harrison burst out laughing when Alison started their chat with: "Bleak, dystopian, an absolute nightmare to be honest with you. That's just my interviewing techniques."

Once she gets underway with the interview, the veteran actor tells her to 'cheer up'. After a bit of giggling back and forth, Ryan whips out a mini bottle of booze to help him get through the morning, before he's joined by Alison.

Who doesn't enjoy a cheeky drink to kickstart your day.

Alison had a range of questions to ask Ryan Gosling, but opted to ask him whether he took to knitting on the set of Blade Runner 2049, to which the Academy Award nominee replied: "I don't know what to say."

The chuckles, giggles and bursts of laughter was very different to Good Morning Britain's interview with Richard Arnold. Not that it was a bad interview, but Harrison might have needed that mini spirit bottle to perk himself up.

One funny moment of the mostly dry interview was when Arnold asked whether Harrison Ford would reprise his anchorman role from Morning Glory, before going on to say: "Obviously this being Good Morning Britain, we could do with you giving Piers Morgan a left hook once or twice."

To which the Star Wars actor replied: "The suggestion will not go unignored."

But Ford pulled Arnold up when he mentioned the original Blade Runner was a sci-fi movie, saying: "Was it really science fiction? I mean in many ways it was futurism noir, is what it was, not science fiction because science fiction at the time was Star Trek."

Arnold puts his foot in it again when asking the veteran actor what attracted him to take on the role of Rick Deckard, with Harrison awkwardly looking towards Gosling, before saying: "Really? How dare you ask me that in public."
