Kim Kardashian had Jimmy Kimmel's audience and viewers alike in stitches on Monday, after reading out a put-down from her husband Kanye, in a reverse version of the much loved 'Celebrities Read Mean Tweets' segment.

The American talk show host is well known for ripping the piss out of his celeb guests by having them read out a selection of some of the most heinous things people have written about them on Twitter.

However, to mark his birthday on Monday night, the tables were well and truly turned, giving the cream of the Hollywood crop a chance to read out what some of Kimmel's followers are saying about him online.

And Kim's message from Kanye was a particularly low blow.

Looking down at her phone, the reality TV star relayed the tweet from 'Ye, which read: "Jimmy Kimmel put yourself in my shoes.Oh no that means you would have gotten too much good p***y in your life."

She pauses after reading the message, nods to the camera and acknowledges her husbands point, saying: "Fair point, Kanye."

As if being roasted by the self-proclaimed 'greatest living rockstar on the planet' (yeah, he actually said that) wasn't enough, half of Hollywood were waiting in the proverbial wings to get their own back on Kimmel in celebration of his 50th.

Among them was comedy heavyweight Will Ferrell, who read out: "@jimmykimmel your show blows brown donkey balls. Go play with Howard Stern's asshole, you Hollywood jokeless fool."

Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence struggled to contain her laughter as she recounted a tweet that said: "@jimmykimmel, $1 million says your hair is fake and your boobs are fake and your feet are small and your nose is made of playdough."

Former world heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson was another celeb who didn't want to miss his chance to rib the Jimmy Kimmel Live host, reading out simply: "@jimmykimmel open your eyes. Your eyes look like vaginas. #squinter."

While Ray Romano, who introduced the bit, grinned and read: "Jimmy Kimmel needs a kick to his dickhole," before signing of with a cheeky "Happy Birthday!"

It's no wonder the celebrities were so game to go in on Kimmel, after all, the guy has been doing it to them for years, so it's nice to see the shoe on the other foot for a change.

But it wasn't all hate for the star's big 5-0.

Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jennifer Aniston and more surprised the host by bringing a comic he wrote as a 10-year-old to life with a movie trailer.

"The characters really spoke to me, and they demanded to be brought to life," director J.J. Abrams said to introduce the teaser. "I took this exact book, I didn't change a word."Featured Image Credit: ABC
