It's easy to make fun of the vapid people in reality TV show Jersey Shore, especially when they're already such caricatures of themselves. The most obvious example of that is Snookie, obviously, but a close runner-up is The Situation.
Yes, there's somebody from the show who calls himself The Situation. That's not his real name, obviously. That's Mike Sorrentino. But he's known as 'The Situation' because, as he explained on Live With Regis And Kelly.
"My abs are so ripped up it's called 'the situation'," he explained on the TV show. "I walked by a girl with her boyfriend. She's holding her boyfriend's hand and as she walks by me ... she's like, 'Oh my God, honey! Look at his abs!' And my boys are like, 'Dude, that's a situation right there.'"
We hope that his "boys" are the abs in question rather than people he was walking with at the time , because now they're all in a whole new situation - namely prison.

Yes, The Situation - who appeared on all six seasons of the MTV reality show between 2009 and 2012 - is facing 15 years in prison for tax avoidance.
He and his brother, Marc, have both pleaded guilty to withholding money from the IRS. The brothers were charged in September 2014 with filing bogus tax returns on nearly $9 million in income.
The seven-count indictment alleged the brothers earned that amount between 2010 and 2012, mostly through two companies they controlled, MPS Entertainment and Situation Nation, but that the pair understated the income from their businesses.
Michael Sorrentino was also charged with failing to file taxes for 2011, a year in which he earned nearly $2 million. So you could say it's all a situation of his own making.

Not only this, but in 2012 the brothers apparently also spent millions of dollars on personal expenses which they claimed were for business.
That just goes to show, no matter how ripped your abs are, you just don't fuck with the IRS. Still, all those reps will mean he won't need to toughen up too much for life in prison should it come to that.
