Last man on Earth you'd ever want to have a pint with, Piers Morgan, has lashed out at the BBC for broadcasting an illustration of him engaged in a lewd act with Donald Trump.

The criticism was levelled after The Mash Report showed the image during a segment presented by comedian Rachel Parris. The skit poked fun at the recent interview between the former News Of The World editor and the US president.

Parris compared the interview to one between Richard Nixon and David Frost in 1977, saying that, in the Trump interview, 'the staging hinted at a great intimacy between the two men' before showing the cartoon.

However, the image, which depicted Trump offering his bare backside up to Morgan, who had his face buried in it, was not well received by the Good Morning Britain presenter, who decided that the best way to make his distaste known was to share it on Twitter himself...three times.

"The BBC thinks this is OK to broadcast," Morgan wrote in his original Tweet. "But if it depicted high profile women, there would be outrage. Why the double standard?"

However, he wasn't finished. Morgan posted about it a further two times, including the image in both.

He then followed up by saying: "So we can't have #gridgirls or #walkongirls because the imagery is 'demeaning'. But the publicly-funded BBC can broadcast this about 2 men? Any comment, @Ofcom?"

But the rest of the internet wasn't as furious as Morgan. In fact, the vast majority of people seemed to find it hilarious - including several celebrities.

The Apprentice main man, Alan Sugar, loved the sketch so much that he declared he would be asking his 'people' to get him a blown up version for him to hang on the wall of his office.

Ricky Gervais also shared the image, querying why he had seen the image shared so many times with not one person bothering to credit 'the photographer who took it'.

With the amount he's been protesting, you couldn't be blamed for thinking the image may have hit a bit of a nerve with Piers.
