It started innocently enough. On Twitter, Monique Tamminga - a crime reporter for the Langley Times according to her bio on the social media platform - posted a picture of her son dressed up as Deadpool for Halloween.
But along with the photo, she also asked Ryan Reynolds - who, of course, plays the dastardly superhero in the Marvel movies - for tips on how her son could go to the loo while wearing the outfit.
"My son is ready for Halloween," wrote Twitter user @LTnewshound. "No idea how he is supposed to use the washroom. Any tips, Ryan?"

It's a fair question. After all, you never actually see superheroes do their business while they're saving the world, do you? What's perhaps more surprisingly is that Reynolds actually retweeted her with a reply.
His response was pure Deadpool, of course: "Everybody knows the Deadpool suit is also a toilet. Get it together."

While we don't even want to think about the logistics of that - are there built-in tubes to carry away the anti-hero's, errr, excretions? Or does the suit just absorb his waste? - it would be perfectly in keeping with Deadpool's character for his superhero outfit to double up as an outhouse (or would that be inhouse?).
It's not the first time Reynolds has unleashed his sardonic humour over Twitter - not even his own children are safe from the 42-year-old actor's razor-sharp wit.
"My kids tried to surprise me for my birthday this morning," he tweeted on 23 October. "I totally heard them coming and snuck out to start a new life somewhere else."

Savage.
Let's just hope that Monique's son didn't take the actor's reply to her mother's tweet too literally. After all, the fabrics involved in a Deadpool Halloween costume aren't the same as Deadpool's actual outfit, and we're pretty sure things would just get very, very messy.
