We all know that opposites attract, but with Hafthor Julius Bjornsson - better known as Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane on cult TV show Game Of Thrones - and his Canadian girlfriend, Kelsey Henson, that theory is being taken to the next level.
The Icelandic actor is a gigantic 6'9" tall, while Henson is just 5'2". She's not exactly half his height, but when the two are pictured together it sure looks like she is.
The unlikely pairing has provoked a few questions about the logistics of a Herculean man dating a pint-sized woman. Like, as one curious Instagram user probed after seeing the couple pictured together, how the hell do they kiss?
The user said: "how do you kiss? Do you jump in his arms every time and wrap your legs around his waist? Please post a picture of this impressive action"
Well, apparently, it's a case of bending and tip-toeing. Kelsey spotted the comment and jokingly replied: "ahha he bends, I tip toe. Or just say screw it, pick me up!"
The pair met when Henson was working as a waitress at Earls Kitchen + Bar in Alberta and Thor, who was in town for a strong-man competition (and who's a seven times Strongest Man in Iceland) walked in. She apparently asked him for an autograph, the pair hit it off and now here we are.
Bjornsson was cast as The Mountain for the fourth season of the popular HBO series. He's the third person to portray the character - after Conan Stevens and Ian Whyte, who played him in seasons one and two - but Bjornsson has since made the role his own, continuing it through to the latest season.
