A revival of the show?

For nine years, and nine seasons, Zach Braff alongside Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison and a whole host of other actors gave us the greatest medical comedy/drama/sitcom ever to grace our screens.

In 2010, the title song 'Superman' was played for the final, final time (there was a 'dummy' ending at the end of the eighth series) and we left the doctors to do their thing.

Yes, those were the days of Scrubs.

Of course, one of the signatures of Braff's charcter, John 'J.D.' Dorian, was to quote his catchphrase 'Eagleeee' every time he found himself elevated.

Whether that was being lifted on the shoulders of someone, jumping or just in his thoughts, an 'Eagle' moment was never far away.

Seven years on, and we've been treated, it would seem, to another such glorious moment.

Although this time he might not have been flying, it was a glorious moment as Braff, Chalke and Faison were all reunited.

The tweet certainly delighted many fans.

Last year in a Twitter live conversation, Braff said: "You never know, it's something we all talk about.

"I'm very jealous of all this Gilmore Girls attention, and Full House, so we talk about it every now and then.

"So, you never know. It could happen. I'd do it."

Braff gained three Golden Globes and an Emmy for his work.

Series nine ended with Dorian and Turk (played by Donald Faison) as Winston University medical professors, with their students rotating through the new Sacred Heart hospital.

Braff has moved into directing, with his latest film, Going In Style, released earlier this year. The film, starring Morgan Freeman, Alan Arkin and Michael Caine, is about a trio of pensioners that plan to rob a bank after their pensions are cancelled.
