Gordon Ramsay is fierce with his comments - we all know and love this about him. He's generally open about his opinions with everyone, and his kids are no exception.

As students across the UK collect their GCSE results, the celebrity chef took to Instagram to share his daughter's scores.

The majority of Matilda Ramsay's GCSEs were still marked under the old system and the post shows she scored a healthy crop of A*s and As, along with a level in Art and Maths.

However, the Hell's Kitchen star took the opportunity to 'grade' his daughter's cooking efforts.

He commented: "Congrats to this little star @tillyramsay 4 A*'s 3 A's 2 B's oh and a D in cooking! Well done Tilly, and well done to all."

This is clearly a joke from the chef - for a start, 16-year-old Matilda is no stranger to cooking, and she didn't actually sit the subject for her GCSEs.

She has had her own show on CBBC, Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, which features the teen cooking her way through a range of British and US dishes during her summer holidays with her family, delivered in 15-minute episodes.

Some people have jumped to defense of the teen, with one person jokingly commenting: "D for Distinction in Cooking? Well done."

The young Ramsay also scored an impressive level 9 in PE - which shouldn't come as a surprise to fans of the upcoming celeb, as she is sporty and has previously written about cooking to fuel herself for her rugby practice.

Gordon is clearly very proud of all his children's educational success - only last week he celebrated his 18-year-old twins getting their A-Level results, taking to Instagram to congratulate the pair.

He commented: ""Well done Jack & Holly! 2 more Ramsay's off to University #Exeter #ravensbourne I'm so proud, amazing results ABB ABC @_jackrams3y_@hollyramsayy."

He also took the opportunity to congratulate them on a 'tough year'.

"Also well done to all the other students on a very tough year! Dinner's on me!" he added.

The Kitchen Nightmares star has been known for his tougher approach to parenting to instill a sense of hard work in his kids.

Speaking to the Telegraph earlier in the year, he said: "They don't sit with us in first class. They haven't worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that. At that age, at that size, you're telling me they need to sit in first class? No, they do not. We're really strict on that.

"I turn left with Tana and they turn right and I say to the chief stewardess, 'Make sure those little fuckers don't come anywhere near us, I want to sleep on this plane.' I worked my fucking arse off to sit that close to the pilot and you appreciate it more when you've grafted for it."

It seems to have worked - Matilda Ramsay can certainly go home pleased with those results.
