This year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! drew to a close on Sunday, but the possibility of a potential romance between Emily Atack and Jamie Redknapp has rumbled on in the days since.

The Inbetweeners actress made her admiration for the former Liverpool and England player clear while in the jungle with the show's eventual winner, Jamie's father Harry Redknapp. But the 71-year-old said he thought she had 'no chance' with his son.

However, upon leaving the jungle and 'scrubbing up', Harry has reassessed their suitability.

On the I'm A Celebrity Coming Out Show on Wednesday evening, with all the jungle residents visibly pleased to have had the chance to scrub up, Harry complimented the female contestants on their appearance.

Emily turned to Harry, and asked: "Do you think Jamie will go out with me now?"

He replied: "I don't think he could pull you, I'll be honest with you!"

Flattering a U-turn as that may be, it seems Emily remains well up for a date with the recently divorced Sky pundit.

Speaking on Lorraine on Monday, she said: "Oh my God, I'm sure if he'd seen me in action over past few weeks he won't be up for it.

"But I'm wearing makeup now so he might be."

She then made a phone symbol with her hand and mouthed the words 'call me'.

But enough of Emily and Harry's predictions, what does Jamie think of the whole situation?

Well, he kept his cards pretty close to his chest when speaking with TalkSPORT's Dean Saunders, who asked what would be more likely - Liverpool winning the Champions League or Jamie taking Emily on a date.

Clearly embarrassed by the question, Jamie responded: "Ah Deano, come on. Leave it out."

He continued: "Listen, she's a very nice girl, isn't she? Let's leave it at that."

Very coy. Is he playing hard to get, or is he actually uninterested? Perhaps he feels he needs to have a team talk with the gaffer (his dad) to talk tactics?

During Harry's post-win interview on Extra Camp, Jamie called in to congratulate him on being crowned King of the Jungle.

As the Redknapps chatted away, Emily and John Barrowman shouted 'Hi Jamie!' down the line, prompting Harry to tell Jamie: "Keep away from Emily, Jamie. She'd be too much for you."

Yet, on Good Morning Britain, he said: "I'll be honest, when I saw her in the jungle I thought no chance. But I've seen her today when she's scrubbed up and she looks alright, I'm telling ya!

"She looks very useful, she looks good. I think, yeah! But when I saw her in a jungle I thought, 'Nah you ain't got a prayer.'"

So yeah, mixed messages from the manager (father). Looks like the ball's in your court (at your feet), Jamie.
