Celebrity relationships are known for lasting about as long as an iPhone's battery life, but every now and again you find a little ray of hope with a few that somehow manage to buck the trend.

Take Kirk Douglas and wife Anne Buydens, for instance, who are still going strong after an impressive 64 years. I know.

Douglas is 101 and Buydens is 99, but even in their old age they're still displaying the very ultimate in #couplegoals - having recently been pictured out and about in Beverly Hills, California, in their matching wheelchairs.

You can see their two carers wheeling them along side by side, proving that maybe love's not dead after all.

The two married back in 1954, and went onto have two sons, Peter and Eric. Douglas also has two other sons, actor Michael and producer Joel, from a previous marriage.

Douglas has referred to himself as a 'bad boy', but says that Anne has always known how to handle him.

Speaking to the Guardian, he revealed that Anne invited all the women she knew he'd slept with to a party in Paris.

"I couldn't believe it when I walked in and saw the guests," he said, adding: "Ah! She knows everything."

They recently published a book entitled Kirk and Anne: Letters of Love, Laughter, and a Lifetime in Hollywood, a collection of letters that the couple have written to each other during their courtship and long marriage.

Douglas had apparently originally intened to publish a book of letters he'd received from fellow celebrities over the years - including the likes of Barack Obama and Frank Sinatra - but Anne then stumbled across a box of their old love letters.

According to USA Today, one from the spring of their courtship saw Douglas trying to make it up to his sweetheart after a fight, writing: "Darling, I have a feeling you're not coming back tonight. I hope I'm wrong!

"It's been a bad day for me and probably a worse one for you ... but I hope that you are here to read this and that I find you when I get back. Suddenly it seems stupid that I am going to dinner without you - because believe it or not I love you!"

Man, dude knew how to grovel. Something to think about next time you're in the dog house...
