"Natural? Hahaha!"

Michelle Keegan divided fans on Friday when she uploaded a 'no make-up selfie' for her 3.3 million Instagram followers. The Our Girl star posed on her couch with her brunette hair swept to one side.

However, it was the photo caption that really got her followers talking, as it read: "Those days. Messy hair. No Make-Up. Top from my @veryuk collection."

Of course, it is clear that the former Coronation Street actress was referencing her top which said: "Today's mood: Messy hair, no make-up." We feel ya, Michelle.

But it seems as though some followers took the caption as literally meaning she had no make-up on herself.

One follower commented on the snap, saying: "You're obviously wearing make-up," while another added: "Natural??? Hahaha but you have make-up on," with several laughing emojis.

A third added: "Sure I can see eyeshadow and pic filtered to death lol. No fake eyelashes though."

Most followers were amazed with how great Michelle looked in the apparent no make-up selfie, with one fan commenting: "Are you taking the Mick!?! I wish I looked that that with messy hair and no make-up! If I did I'd make every day a messy hair no make up day!," while another added: "Wish I looked like you with no make up!"

A third fan wrote: "No1 ever looked so good bare faced [sic]."

And a fourth added: "Love the top, tho messy hair no make up is my everyday look [sic]."

Keegan stars in BBC series Our Girl, in which she plays army medic, Lance Corporal Georgie Lane - having replaced actress Lacey Turner in the lead role for the second series.

She's admitted that it's about as gruelling as it sounds, and that she can't quite keep up with the real-life military advisers who work on the show (I mean, who could?).

"I couldn't stand the early mornings!" she told Radio Times, when asked how acting compares to the Army. "Although I'm up early at the minute, we've had two military advisers with us since day one and before they start working at six in the morning they're in the gym at half four. They train every single day without fail. I couldn't do that."

But she continued that she did enjoy one aspect of her job, continuing: "What I do like is rolling around getting dirty while filming. I always tell them to put more dirt on my face, it's really liberating."

So it sounds like she's not too arsed about looking glammed-up all the time - whether that involves wearing no make-up for the day or being covered in mud - and fair play to that, frankly.
