When you're one of, if not the highest paid musical couple on the planet, you probably wouldn't mind spending some people's yearly salaries in a few hours. That's exactly what Jay-Z has done after going on a night on the toon for his mate's birthday.

Page Six reports the cashed-up rapper took his friend and Roc Nation Sports President Juan 'OG' Perez out to a restaurant and the Playroom club.

Videos uploaded by the ritzy bar show no expense was spared for the big celebration, with bottles of Ace of Spades champagne being handed around clubgoers. But the real shocking account from the night, was an alleged photo of the bill, which was uploaded to Snapchat, showing just how much the 4:44 singer reportedly forked out.

To put it in perspective, just one bottle of Ace of Spades Gold will set you back a casual $1,200 (£855). Some people might make that amount of money in a few weeks, let alone spend it on a bottle of bubbly.

But Shawn Carter is thought to have bought a whopping 20 bottles of the Gold brand and 20 of the Rose one.

That allegedly brought the bill to $74,000, with an additional $6,035 tax and then an $11,000 tip. You'd be thanking your lucky stars that you were Jay's server that night because you'd be going home a very rich person.

People were baffled that the tab came to $91,135 at the end of the night - however some also called him a cheapskate for only tipping 12 percent instead of 15-18 percent.

But that wasn't even the only place where he splashed some cash that night.

Page Six says they first went to Zuma in Midtown for dinner, which came to a whopping $13,000. After that, they thought they'd wet their collective whistles at Made in Mexico with an incredible $9,000 spent on drinks.

I wonder if Jay wakes up in the morning and goes 'Ooft that was a pricey night' or whether he just shrugs knowing he's probably already made that money back in album sales.

If Forbes is anything to go by, it's probably the latter.

The media organisation says Mr Carter's net worth is $810 million, thanks to a tidy investment from Sprint into his streaming platform Tidal. Add that to his wife Beyoncé earning an easy $105 million last year alone and you can imagine the Carter-Knowles don't get fussed about six figure nights out.
