So Ryan Reynolds has turned 42 today, and frankly I'm pretty surprised. I'd have placed him at 35 - 37, max - but nope, he's actually already a couple of years into his forties.
Sure, I'd imagine he has enough of those Hollywood big bucks to be able to afford a personal trainer, a nutritionist, pricey skincare and probably a nanny to keep the stress of looking after two young kids at bay. This is all speculation, of course, but you get my point.
But maybe there's something else that's keeping the Canadian actor so youthful: his humour. The dude clearly doesn't take things too seriously, and while many other stars spend their time banging on about method acting or the problems with society, Reynolds is here trolling people online - and even trolling himself.

In a special throwback birthday post, Reynolds shared a photo of him as a kid with his dad, captioning it: "Happy Birthday to me. Or as Dad used to affectionately say, 'the condom broke'."
BRUTAL. See, never one to step away from a chance for some nice ol' self-deprecation - it's good to know he speaks our language.
It was also a nice little nod to his late father, who sadly passed away in 2015 after a 20-year battle with Parkinson's disease.

Over in the comments section, one fan referred to his anecdote as the 'BEST ACCIDENT EVER', while another gave their blessings to the, er, condom.
Another said: "I guess you can say the world benefited cause the condom broke, Now we have you and it just wouldn't be the same without you."
D'awww.
Others enjoyed the glimpse into Reynolds' past, with one commenting: "Look at that face! You can tell that you were always a little shit!!"

Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively also paid tribute to him on her Instagram - though this time, it wasn't the trolling he's grown used to.
She wrote: "Happy Birthday to 2018's Sexiest Voter Alive @vancityreynolds #justvoted #absenteeballot party!"
Fellow Hollywood star and friend, Hugh Jackman, also had a message for the actor.
Reynolds also posted another old snap from his childhood a few days ago, in which he and his brother are sat in a toy car, grinning.
That one came with an equally hilarious caption, where he not only draws our attention to his dodgy bowl-cut hair do, but also that it looks as though he and his brother had 'jacked' a car.

He added that he'd never forget 'the sound of Dad screaming from the trunk'.
Ah, to have grown up in the Reynolds household...
