Will Smith Narrated His Trip To The Zoo And It's The Best Thing On Instagram

The 'Men in Black' star regularly posts some throw-back pictures, but this is possibly his greatest post so far

Assuming you haven't been living under a rock for the past three months, you may well have realised that Hollywood legend Will Smith now has an Instagram account. Amassing a total of 5.2 million followers after Ellen Degeneres made him set it up, the I Am Legend star is on a voyage of Instagram discovery.

While he regularly posts some throw-back pictures, possibly his greatest post has come in the form of a video at the zoo.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air star is seen feeding a crocodile and nursing a baby wombat, captioning the video: "Jada and I are welcoming a new member to our family. Hey Jaden @c.syresmith, he's taking your room."

In another video, he narrated to his millions of fans: "Welcome to the first episode of Will Smith's when dumb people get bit."

Will jokes as he swings the camera towards a crocodile waiting to sink its teeth into a rather grisly looking piece of meat on the end of a pole, before capturing the moment when the crocodile chows down and plays a tug of war with him.

Channelling his inner Hancock, Smith manages to pull the pole back claiming that he's 'cool' and 'it wasn't nothing'.

To be fair, Steve Irwin probably would have been impressed with the way he handled that frightening encounter. Telling everyone to shush, the video then pans to a very sleepy-looking wombat in Will's arms.

He says: "This is our new baby, there's Trey, Jaden, Willow and now we've got a wombat."

Fans on his Instagram page loved the video, with one person writing: "I have watched this video no less than 50 Times and I'm just... where has he been all of my social media life?"

With more than 3.2 million views and counting, it's almost surprising he hasn't yet been invited to narrate an episode of Planet Earth. If he ever decides to make a foray into nature documentaries, we'd expect it to be called 'When Dumb People Get Bit'.

I think we can all agree that we'd struggle to choose between watching that and another film by Sir David Attenborough.

Smith is in Australia to promote the Netflix film Bright, which, despite being panned by critics, has been renewed for a sequel.
