Woody Harrelson Reveals He Had To Get High To Survive A ‘Brutal Dinner’ With Donald Trump

"I came up through Hollywood, so I’ve seen narcissists. This guy was beyond. It blew my mind.”

Woody Harrelson comes across as a pretty chilled guy who would have a decent tolerance to people's bullsh*t.

But it seems like the Hollywood actor just couldn't endure a dinner with President Donald Trump sober.

Back in 2002, the Zombieland star was invited to dine with Trump when he was just a hotshot property developer. He was asked to join in on the evening meal between the future President and then Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura.

Harrelson suspects the only reason he was invited was because Ventura wanted someone else to watch Trump ask the pro-wrestler turned politician to be his running mate in the Democratic presidential selection process in 2004 (if you can believe that).

Speaking to Esquire, the 58-year-old said: "So we all met at Trump Tower, sat down. Melania was there, only she wasn't his wife yet. And it was, let me tell you, a brutal dinner. Two and a half hours.

"Now, at a fair table with four people, each person is entitled to 25 percent of the conversation, right? I'd say Melania got about 0.1 percent, maybe. I got about 1 percent. And the governor, Jesse, he got about 3 percent. Trump took the rest.

"It got so bad I had to go outside and burn one before returning to the monologue monopoly. Listen, I came up through Hollywood, so I've seen narcissists. This guy was beyond. It blew my mind."

When the conversation is so bad you have to go outside and smoke a joint, you know you've entered the Gates of Hell.

The Esquire profile was pretty revealing about different aspects of Harrelson's career.

The star explained that when he was first given the script for Zombieland he wasn't impressed. He asked his agent 'Zombies, dude? Really? Has it come to this?' however after reading the script, Harrelson was on board.

The trailer for the sequel was recently released, much to the excitement of fans.

The first glimpse at the new movie shows OG stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin back on the road fighting hordes of the undead.

The trailer shows the gang in the White House, so quite the upgrade from last time around, and introduces us to a number of new faces.

For now, we don't know much about the plot, but we do know that it's named after one of Columbus's (Eisenberg) all important 33 rules alongside 'cardio', 'beware of bathrooms' and 'get a kickass partner'.

Director Ruben Fleischer has teased that we'll meet a host of 'new characters', with additional cast members including Zoey Deutch, Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch and Avan Jogia.
