David Beckham had just one rule for his children when the time came for them to get their first tattoo, and his eldest son Brooklyn very nearly broke it.

The former professional footballer, 48, is heavily tattooed with inkings across his entire body and his son Brooklyn, 24, has followed in his footsteps, having got over 100 tattoos himself since turning 18.

Brooklyn has several inkings dedicated to his wife Nicola Peltz, 28, who he wed in April 2022 in an extravagant ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida.

He has a portrait of Nicola's face on his upper arm along with the lyrics of the song she walked down the aisle too, as well as the word 'married' inked across one of his hands.

It doesn't end there though, as Brooklyn has his wedding vows tattooed across his inner arm and before he wed Nicola, he even got her eyes inked across the back of his neck with a sweet love note she'd written for him.

Dad-of-four David, who also shares Romeo, 20, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12, with wife Victoria, 49, had just one request when his son wanted to get his first inking.

"I've always said to him 'Your first tattoo, if you're going to have one, I want to be there'," David said on The Late Late Show.

He went on to recall Brooklyn nearly breaking the rule after he headed to a tattoo shop with his girlfriend and was tempted to get his first inking.

David continued: "My friend called me and said 'Brooklyn's in the tattoo shop you should probably call him.' So I called him.

"I said 'What you doing, mate?' And he said, 'I'm just going for dinner' and I was like 'Are you sure you're going for dinner?'."

He has loads of inkings.

Brooklyn then admitted he was in a tattoo shop and told his dad he was 'tempted to get something'.

David told Brooklyn he was 'welcome' to get a tattoo, before telling him: "But you remember, you promised me and I'm your dad. And I would feel really upset if you actually went through with it.' So he didn't. So, thankfully he waited."

Brooklyn has gone on to get a whole load of tats, with much of his body now covered, including his hands and back.
