Why Neil Patrick Harris doesn’t want to know which twin is biologically his
Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka are the parents of two children, who they conceived in 2010, but there’s a reason why they both refuse to find out who they biologically fathered.
The famous celeb couple have been together since 2004 and married in 2014, becoming first-time dads four years before saying ‘I do’.
Neil, who is best known for his roles in TV shows like the hit US comedy, How I Met Your Mother, and Disney series Doogie Howser, M.D., has been candid about his wish to keep things a secret.
He once even told Barbara Walters that he had 'no interest' in finding out which twin is his biological child, even when the kids began to grow.

"I have no interest in [finding out]. We are their parents and I love them implicitly," he explained.
He went on to say: "We inserted one of my sperm and one of David's sperm into two eggs with the hope that they would both take, just because we both wanted to be dads biologically.
"Both took, miraculously,” he said.
The conception of the twins involved two embryos - one for each twin - and a surrogate to carry them. The egg donor remained anonymous, however.
Gideon and Harper are now in their teens and continuing to thrive with the nurturing of their dads.
Despite not knowing who is the genetic father of each child for certain, Neil told Barbara that the parents did have suspicions 'based on their behaviour'.
Neil and his family made the headlines this month when they shared a glimpse at their retro-style holiday cards.
In partnership with Minted, the card features the actor and his husband along with Gideon and Harper and pet French Bulldog named Chunk, as well as 'an additional shot of the family dogs on the backside of the card'.
Fans quickly made their way to the comments to gush over the sweet card. One wrote: "Such a pretty card," while a second said: "Retro is where it’s at this season!"
A third added: "You two are so creative! I look forward to seeing what you all come up with next!"
Proudly sharing family milestones online, Neil also posted a tribute to the twins on Instagram on their birthdays back in October. The caption read "And, just like that, they're teenagers,"

“You are the lights of my life. I can’t wait to watch you want nothing to do with me, and I promise I’ll be with you through all of it."
