Cristiano Ronaldo’s awkward reaction to Conor McGregor sitting next to him leaves viewers in stitches

Cristiano Ronaldo’s awkward reaction to Conor McGregor sitting next to him leaves viewers in stitches

Cristiano Ronaldo and Conor McGregor were ringside for Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder's fights in Saudi Arabia.

Sporting icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Conor McGregor were reunited last night (23 December) and viewers can't get over the clip of McGregor chatting Ronaldo's head off.

The duo - who were pictured together in October attending Tyson's Fury match - were ringside to watch Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia over the weekend.

Now, fans can't help but poke fun at their ring-side exchange and have described the MMA star as some 'complete random' you bump into 'in the club toilets'.

In the clip, McGregor sits down next to Ronaldo and leans in towards the top goalscorer of-all-time and starts chatting across him about Dmitry Bivol's fighting style.

The former UFC champion carries on speaking over Ronaldo, who eventually cracks a smile after more than a minute of chat from McGregor.

"Ronaldo knows he’s having his ear chewed off for the next 3 hours," one viewer commented.

"When you bump into a complete random in the club toilets," a second said.

"Cristiano is reconsidering all his decisions that led him to this moment," a third quipped.

"That meme of the drunk lad shouting at that girl in the club. Same energy!" another added.

Even Ryanair got in on the action and wrote 'middle seat vibes'.

All jokes aside, it seems that the pair are good mates as CR7 posted a picture of them both on social media this morning.

Despite appearances, Ronaldo and McGregor do appear to enjoy each other's company.

Ronaldo captioned the pic: "Best caption wins!"

"When they tell me that Messi is better than Cristiano," one joked.

"Remember when they said I was the problem at Man Utd," another added.

"When they say you're finished and you are about ending the year as the top scorer," a third wrote.

Well, on the night, Joshua produced his best performance of the year with a stoppage victory over Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia.

The British boxer - who cruised to a 27th professional career victory - came flying out of the blocks in Riyadh on Saturday night (23 December) and hit Wallin hard in the second round.

With just over one minute of the fifth round remaining, Joshua unleashed a left hook to leave Wallin stumbling towards the ropes.

The Swede’s corner said their fighter was unable to continue as Joshua celebrated the win.

The 34-year-old has now won all of his three fights in 2023, while his sights have been firmly set on taking on Deontay Wilder in the new year.

However, things didn't exactly go to plan for the American, who was the overwhelming favourite to beat Joseph Parker on the same card.

To the surprise of many, the New Zealander dominated the 'bronze bomber' and sealed a shock upset, with the judges scoring the one-sided bout in favour of Parker.

Joshua sent a clear message to Wilder after his loss.
