A 'Hunger Games' Theme Park Is Coming To South Korea And It Looks Incredible

A 'Hunger Games' Theme Park Is Coming To South Korea And It Looks Incredible

Better hit the gym to survive this theme park.

The Hunger Games catapulted Jennifer Lawrence into the limelight back in 2012, pitting teenagers against each other for sport.

It was pretty gruesome, in an awesome kind of way, because who doesn't like to see teenagers bleeding in a forest while adults send in machines to kill them before JLaw attacks them with a bow and arrow?

No one. That's right - universal appeal.

It made me want to try harder at the gym... at least for about ten minutes. Let's face it, I can do as many pull ups as I want/am made to do by my personal trainer but it's unlikely that I'm going to be in a gladiatorial arena fighting for my life unless these Brexit negotiations go very badly wrong.

Another great thing about The Hunger Games was the incredible Woody Harrelson? Sarcastic, moody, drunk - he's so much fun. My spirit animal.

But if you really did want to live The Hunger Games, it's really going to become possible!

Lionsgate, the company behind the movie franchise, have announced that it will be opening Lionsgate Movie World, a 1.3 million-square-foot theme park in South Korea dedicated to some of the biggest Lionsgate names. There are plans to be seven 'zones' where the films will have their own land.

The Lionsgate Movie World is set to be built at Jeju Shinhwa World, which is expected to be one of South Korea's largest integrated resorts. The theme park itself is apparently due to be finished for 2019. South Korea isn't that far away, is it?

On the Jeju Shinhwa website states: "Lionsgate inaugural outdoor movie theme park is set to open in Jeju Shinhwa World! The first of its kind by Lionsgate, this will be a world class theme park that combines state-of-the-art rides, attractions, shows, themed dining and retail experiences to immerse guests within some of the world's most popular films ever produced.

"Movie Zones available are: The Hunger Games, Now You See Me, Divergent, Saw, The Cabin in the Woods, Robin Hood and The Twilight Saga."

BRB, just running to go and pre-order my ticket.

Wait, hold up, a Saw world? I'm not quite sure about that... sounds a bit murder-y.

A sneak peak of the Hunger Games zone has already been released on Motiongate Dubai's website, and it looks epic. Take a look yourself.

On the website, it says: "Get ready for 360 degrees of thrill! Hop on the Capitol Bullet Train for a once-in-a-lifetime ride to the Capitol. This launched roller coaster will send you backwards, forwards, and upside down on this supersonic ride!"

Talking about the aerial tour, it also says: "An unforgettable tour that will immerse you in the world of Panem. You are among the lucky few to take a soaring tour of Panem and the iconic landmarks of the Capitol. But this all has a catch! Shortly after you think you've made it, Peacekeepers will spot your craft and you'll be caught in the middle of an epic battle!"

While the Motiongate website says nothing other than 'coming soon' about the new attractions, Jeju Shinhwa World's website states that the Lionsgate Movie World should be opening in 2019, so we only have two years to wait for this amazing theme park to open.

I don't know about you, but I know where I'm going on holiday in 2019.
