The legendary game show Spicks and Specks ran for 277 episodes between 2005 and 2011.

Host Adam Hills, comedian Alan Brough and radio announcer Myf Warhurst were on our screens every week, delighting us with music trivia and giving us information to use when we were next at the pub with our mates.

But in news that will delight Spicks audiences across Australia, the mighty trio is coming back for a reunion later this year.

ABC

"From the moment Alan, Myf and I were together in a room for last year's Spicks and Specks Reunion Special, we had each other in fits of laughter.

"Any time I can spend with those two fools is time well spent, and if it takes four more specials to make that happen - so be it," said Hills in a statement provided by ABC.

"The response to last year's show was overwhelming, both in the studio when we filmed it and at home when it went to air. Spicks and Specks has a special place in our hearts, and I'm genuinely excited to make a few more specials for the ABC."

The reunion will kick off in November, so we've got a couple of months up our sleeve to get proper excited for it.

The show has had its fair share of notable celebrity guests over the years, including Tina Arena, Jimmy Barnes, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, Daryl Braithwaite, Sia Furler, Shane Jacobson, Geoffrey Rush and The Wiggles.

So here's hoping we get another splash of iconic Aussies for the reunion.

Hell, there were loads of guests for the reunion last year, which was hailed a massive success for the ABC. Interestingly, the one-off in 2018 became the most watched programme of the year for the national broadcaster.

Audiences were treated to the classic trio of Hills, Brough and Warhurst as well as Troy Cassar-Daley, Kate Ceberano Murray Cook, Paul Dempsey, Antoinette Halloran, Guido Hatzis, Kram, Angie Hart, Kate Miller-Heidke, Lindsay McDougall, Luke McGregor and several others.

So it's no surprise that the ABC want another dip in the ocean.

And if all that wasn't enough, well the ABC announced there will be a further three Spicks and Specksepisodes that will air in 2020. Not too bad.
