Aldi has released a cheeky little video that seems to be poking fun at John Lewis.

Many people have come out to say that they much prefer Aldi's Christmas ad to that of the massive department store. JL, might I add, reportedly spent an eye-watering £1 million on the production of Buster the Boxer and a further £6 million on TV advertising time.

If Aldi's microwave lasagnas are anything to go by in terms of value for money - I'm guessing they spent about 250 quid on Kevin the Carrot.

This little 'mini-advert' seems to have been solely made to take the piss out of John Lewis.

In it, Kevin can't seem to control his excitement (even hyperventilating a little bit) as he prepares to watch the John Lewis advert.

The narrator says: "Carrot was waiting, his head in a tizz. Oh golly, oh gosh, how exciting is this?

"The thing he'd been waiting for all through the year was finally happening, yes it was here."

He then exclaims: "John Lewis!"

Not subtle but still... love it.
