Another 'Take Me Out Couple' Are Getting Married

Another 'Take Me Out Couple' Are Getting Married

Paddy's good at this, isn't he?

I assume the majority of people who go on Take Me Out do it for a bit of fame, a nice day out, a free holiday and the chance to meet Paddy.

But maybe that's just me being a cynical bastard, because some people on there do actually seem serious about finding love. So far, five couples who met on the show have gone on to tie the knot, and there's a sixth couple saying 'I do' this very weekend.

Adam and Beckie appeared on the show last year, but it wasn't 'love at first light', as Paddy would say.

Adam originally switched off Beckie's light and took someone else to the fictional Isle of Fernandos. Awkward.

Fair play to her, Beckie appeared to take it quite well. Sharing a clip of her 'rejection' by 'bloody cactus boy' from the show on Twitter.

Ah, how many times do you think Cactus Boy has apologised for this?

Adam responded to that clip by telling Beckie her runway walk was like something from a Victoria Secret show. The couple then found each other on Facebook, started chatting and in June last year Adam popped the question. A true love story for the modern age.

In a statement they said: "We owe absolutely everything to Take Me Out!

"We feel so blessed to not only have taken part in such an amazing experience where we've made forever friends and laughed until our bellies hurt, we also got the chance to meet each other.

"Our paths would never have crossed so we give eternal thanks to everyone who made this happen for us. True love is found in the craziest places!"

Beckie also shared a card from Paddy McGuinness congratulating them.

Adam needn't feel too bad about switching off Beckie's light, though. Andrew and Lindsay, who appeared on the second series, also got hitched after he initially turned off her light. Bloody hell, fellas. He also used Facebook to find the one that got away and after a year of dating they got married.

The first Take Me Out wedding happened way back in 2014, after Adele and Dave met on the show and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. And, in a similar theme as the other two couples, they initially went on dates with other contestants before getting together.

Another couple, Greig and Kerry, didn't even appear on the same bloody episode, but somehow ended up married after meeting at an end of series party. It still counts.

Happy couples Gemma and Gavin and Dawn and Dave, did match on the show and both enjoyed dates on the Isle of Fernandos before deciding to give it a shot once the cameras were off.

Do you think Paddy goes the weddings?
