A stint in rehab wouldn't be something for banter for most people, but Ant McPartlin has already shown on this series of I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here! that he's willing to take the piss out of himself.

CHECK OUT ANT'S BANTER IN THE CLIP

Now the Geordie TV entertainer has done it again by cracking fans up during last night's episode as he had a dig at his own rehab stint earlier this year.

The situation all came about as Ant ripped his best bud, Declan Donnelly, for struggling to say the word "admirable". It is four syllables long, to be fair.

As Dec continued to stumble over the phrase, Ant turned to him and quickly said: "And you thought I had problems!"

It was solid banter but it took everyone by surprise and made both fans at home and on set have a bit of a laugh.

In the background of the video you can even hear crew working on the show pissing themselves at Ant's joke.

Meanwhile, I'm A Celeb fans took to Twitter to show they loved Ant's joke just as much.

The show must go on, though, and it did, as Dec recovered quickly to savage Ant for hashing the transition to the Bushtucker Trial twice already this series.

Ant made the front pages of Britain's tabloids earlier this year after it was revealed he spent a two-month stint in rehab to address a secret addiction to prescription painkillers.

Ant's return to I'm A Celeb was warmly received by fans and colleagues alike, as he marked his comeback at the start of this series by hugging his long-time co-host Dec and saying, "It's good to be back".

Speaking with The Sun on Sunday back in August, the presenter revealed how he almost died from his addiction.

"I was at the point where anything - prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs - I would take," he explained in the interview.

"And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me, 'You could have killed yourself'."

All credit to Ant for being willing to make fun of what's happened. Looks like he's settled back in just fine.
