Chris Tucker Confirms That 'Rush Hour 4' Is Definitely Happening

Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?

Fans of Kung Fu buddy cop movies, rejoice - Rush Hour 4 is finally happening!

After many long years of waiting, it finally looks as if they are going to put the old team of Carter and Lee back together.

Jackie Chan confirmed last year that they were in talks with the scriptwriters to get it across the line, but now his co-star Chris Tucker has confirmed that it's ready to go.

Appearing on ESPN's The Plug podcast, Tucker was asked if he and Jackie Chan would ever team up again - a roundabout way of asking if Rush Hour 4 was going to happen.

Tucker replied: "It's happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don't ever forget it.

The podcast's host Terri Foster-Brasby tweeted the confirmation out to her followers:

The first Rush Hour film came out in 1998, before Rush Hour 2 became the most successful film in the franchise in 2001 before the most recent outing in 2007.

Rush Hour 4 will most likely be directed by Brett Ratner and written by Jeff Nathanson. The pair has been involved in all of the other films, so you'd imagine that they wouldn't want to change a winning formula.

Last year on The Cruz Show, Chan confirmed that it was in the pipeline, but that nothing had been confirmed.

He said: "For the last seven years, we've been turn[ing] down, turn[ing] down the script, but yesterday, we agreed.

"The script, probably at the end of this month, will have a second draft and next year, [we'll] probably start - if Chris Tucker agrees."

If you want to keep up with your Jackie Chan movies, he recently starred in the bizarre, but surprisingly entertaining The Foreigner - a Netflix Original movie.

Essentially, if you've ever wondered what Jackie Chan taking on the IRA with Piers Brosnan (who is playing a weird, alternate universe version of Gerry Adams) looks like, The Foreigner is your chance.
