Even though it wasn't very long or didn't tell us very much, the trailer for Incredibles 2 looked... really good. (We could've said 'incredible', but that would've been too easy...)
We know that Jack-Jack, the little baby Incredible, has some seriously strong (and lethal) superpowers that he can't quite control. And the official synopsis told us that Bob Parr/Mr Incredible has taken on more of a domestic role as a result and that his wife, Helen Parr/Elastigirl, is thrust more into the spotlight.

And that's about it, save for the fact the Incredibles will all need to work together to defeat the villain of the movie.
Now, though, we have a bit more behind-the-scenes information about the long-awaited sequel, which will be released 14 years after the original film - namely the full cast announcement.

As expected, Holly Hunter will return as Helen, Craig T Nelson will be back as Bob, Brad Bird will still play Edna 'E' Mode and Samuel L Jackson will reprise his role as Lucius Best/Frozone. Sarah Vowell will also play eldest child Violet again.
And just in case you needed a reminder of what some of those characters looked like...
But Dash - the Incredibles' son - will be voiced by newcomer Huckleberry 'Huck' Milner and new character Winston Deavor, who leads a world-class telecommunications company alongside his genius sister and who wants the Incredibles to return, will be played by Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk.
His sister, Evelyn Deavor, will be played by Catherine Keener, while Sophia Bush will take on the part of new character Voyd, a wannabe superhero who's a huge fan of Elastigirl. Her superpower is the ability to divert and manipulate objects. She does so by creating voids that allow those objects to appear, disappear and shift in space, which sounds awesome.
Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks will voice Rick Dicker, who heads up the official Super Relocation Program, intended to help keep Super identities secret - and whose character also looks a lot like Richard Nixon. But his division is shut down, meaning the Parr family are out on their own.
To round out the all-star cast, Isabella Rossellini will play the part of Ambassador, a foreign ambassador committed to supporting and legalizing superheroes.
All of which makes us think that Incredibles 2 might just be able to live up to the high expectations we have for it to be... well, you know, better than alright.
