The First Images For 'Saw Eight' Are Released

Hello reader. You don't know me, but I know you.

Over the years we've never been able to get enough of the Saw franchise. We're seven films in and they show no sign of slowing down.

The infamous mask of Jigsaw looks set to be returning again this year even he may now be dead (Saw III).

Jigsaw's legacy lives on with the poster for the movie reading: "Become Jigsaw," which implies that actor Tobin Bell may still have a role in the film.

Director Peter Spierig avoided fully disclosing the full details, but did tell Entertainment Weekly: "The DNA of Tobin Bell is all over this film."

The synopsis states: "Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade."

Jigsaw will be directed by brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, Jigsaw and is apparently going to be 'more fun' than its predecessors, but every bit as gory.

Michael Spierig told Entertainment Weekly: "We've got some pretty wild traps in the film - we don't shy away from the gore.

"It's such a perfect Halloween scarefest. It's perhaps not quite as vicious and more fun, which is something we tried to inject into it.

"But's still full of good fun gore, that's for sure. And, on top of that, it's got a really great mystery, and there's very interesting twists. It's Saw for 2017.

The film stars Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Cle Bennett, Hannah Emily Anderson, and Laura Vandervoort (pictured drowning in something similar to when Jeff Denlon and Halden battle the 'pig pool' in Saw III) as some of the main actors.

The eighth installment came as a surprise to many, and fans have been taking to social media to show their excitement.

Saw megafan, Paul, told LADbible: "I thought it was all over after Saw VII. The ending to that was completely unexpected and was a perfect sign-off to the franchise.

"However, the films are brilliant and it will be interesting to see who reinvents the gore, how they're going to do it and what twists and turns are to come along the way.

"There are so many plot twists and surprises that you can't take your eyes away as you could just miss who, what, why and how.

"The Saw films break the mould - there's no predictability in them at all. Jigsaw should be seen as a monster, but he's actually portrayed as some sort of very villainous hero."
