The Star Wars and Game of Thrones universes couldn't be more opposite. While they both feature heroes, villains and duels, one is set far in the past where wars were waged with swords and arrows, while the other has lasers and intergalactic space travel.

However, one dedicated YouTuber has fused the two together in the most perfect way. Since the latest episode of Game of Thrones aired last week, Omid G has been working meticulously to replace swords with lightsabers during the sparing between Brienne of Tarth and Ayra Stark.

Check it out here:

People on the video streaming site are absolutely loving the fan-made edit, with one person saying: "You have no idea how much I've waited for this."

Some were disappointed the dagger wasn't made into a tiny lightsaber, and many were questioning whether the characters should have been different colours. One user says: "Brienne should have a red lightsaber. She is evil. She nearly killed the hound. She killed the one true king Stannis."

It's not the first time someone decided lightsabers would look epic on Game of Thrones, with user EricThePooh uploading his edit of the Tower of Joy battle between Ned Stark and knights of the Kingsguard.

The brilliant editing was also done for the duel between the Mountain and Oberyn 'the Red Viper' Martell.

The scene between Arya Stark and Brienne of Tarth is the subject of a peculiar fan theory. A Reddit user, GrennsGal, provoked much discussion when illustrating his take on the scene: "If you watch the sparring scene in S07E04 between Arya and Brienne, when Arya asks, 'Didn't you vow to serve both my MOTHER's daughters?'"

"At the word MOTHER you can see a woman in a long green dress [with] long auburn wavy hair with her head down walking past the background gate, resembling [Catelyn Stark].

"If it's unintentional, it's awesome. If not, more awesome. Catelyn checking on Brienne keeping her vows."

In the books, by George R.R. Martin, an undead version of Catelyn Stark does appear, but under the name Lady Stoneheart. Her presence has been teased for a couple of seasons now.

And, what's more, Stoneheart has been affiliated in the storylines of both Brienne and Podrick Payne who are both visible in the scene.
