Boyfriend Sets Strict Rules For Watching Avengers: Endgame With His Girlfriend

Finally. It's here. The biggest movie of the year, possibly ever, Avengers: Endgame - and understandably, fans have been keen to make sure the experience is perfect.

But one Marvel fanatic, Cyrille Sokpor, went a step further and sent his girlfriend a 'stern letter' with a list of dos and don'ts for their trip to the cinema.

Londoner Kamilla Rose shared a picture of the instructions to her Twitter page, with the caption: "My boyfriend sent me a very sternly worded note about our cinema trip to see #AvengersEndgame tomorrow. Mad because I thought it was just date night."

And he wasn't messing about.

The letter reads: "We will not be queuing to buy popcorn, please make prior arrangements.

"You are not permitted to consume any food during the film including end credits - you may quietly drink water."

He went on: "I will not be moving to allow you to pass for a toilet break - find an alternative route.

"You will not communicate with me during the trailers or the duration of the film (inc end credits).

"In case of an emergency involving our son, I give you full authority to leave and take control - I will join you after the film (including end credits).

"'After the film (including end credits) we will have a 30 minute debrief session to discuss the events, followed by a period of quiet personal reflection.

"It is acknowledged that I may not be my usual self post this film. Please do not be alarmed.

"Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to a pleasurable viewing experience.

"Kind regards. Cyrille."

And it's safe to say most people completely agreed with Cyrille, with one saying the letter 'sounds perfectly reasonable'.

While another added: "I laughed so hard... Because I think this is more than reasonable."

For those of you who have been living under a rock the past few months, Avengers: Endgame finally landed in UK cinemas last night.

And the first reviews have labelled it 'an astonishingly amazing film'.

Offering his spoiler-free assessment of the superhero flick, Erik Davis, managing editor at Fandango, said: "Avengers: Endgame is a masterful epic - a true culmination of 22 films that not only concludes the story, but expands upon it. You'll learn more about the other movies while this one unfolds. If Infinity War is the brawn, Endgame is the brains. And wow, what an ending!

"Do not go in expecting Infinity War part two. The two films are so different, yet compliment each other in all the best ways. In terms of which MCU movie to watch beforehand... honestly, all of them. What an experience - what an accomplishment.

"Not going to spoil anything at all, but I will say I laughed, I cried, I cried, I cheered, I laughed, I cried again and then the entire audience gave it a massive standing ovation. And then I cried again. Be ready, kids. Be. Ready."
