Seven-year-old Ed Sheeran superfan Kai got an awesome surprise when on The Ellen Show after getting to meet his idol live on TV.

After the little one gave Ellen a Valentine's Day card and saying she was his girlfriend, he serenaded her with an Ed Sheeran song he loved. She was obviously pretty impressed as she couldn't stop grinning at him.
He sang 'Thinking Out Loud', complete with some very cool arm movements.
Anyway, it turned out that the singer/songwriter himself was on the show and he snuck up behind him.
"I was watching in my dressing room, and wanted to come out and see," said Ed who perched on the seat, grinning down at Kai.

Ed Sheeran Meets His Childhood Friend
It's not the first time Ed has had an awesome moment on TV recently - this time on the other side of the pond. On The Graham Norton Show, a man was in the notorious chair where they have to tell a funny story or get the lever claimed to know Ed. A likely story - anyone from Suffolk could say the same...
"Did we know each other?" said Ed, peering at the screen. "What's your name?"
Graham tells him it's James and it sparks some recognition.
"He was my best mate growing up!" said Ed. And you couldn't even recognise him...

"And now you're talking to him on a monitor," says Graham dryly.
"I'm not wearing my specs!" claims Ed, who insists on flipping James and getting him on stage with the rest of the celebrities. Take a look at that snippet here...
