A professional boxer by trade, Amir Khan can be excused, some what, for not paying complete attention when it comes to current affairs.

But there's no excuse for what the former light-welterweight world champion came out with on I'm A Celebrity tonight, when he seems not to have been paying any attention at all.
The professional boxer unwittingly showed his ignorance as the group appointed a new camp Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister in the form of Stanley Johnson and Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo.
"Could a woman be prime minister? Has there ever been a woman prime minister?" Khan asked Stanley, oblivious to the fact that Theresa May, the UK's prime minister since June of last year, is indeed a woman.
Oh dear, Amir. We understand that politics can be boring a lot of the time but he isn't helping himself with silliness like that.
As you'd expect, people were unrelenting in rinsing Khan on social media for his total lack of knowledge of who's running the country:
Some commenters interpreted his ignorance as, well, a little bit sexist:
While some even thought that the boxer had taken a few too many hits to the head in the ring:
To be fair, Amir realised his mistake, name-dropping the ex-PM Margaret Thatcher not long after. But still, the man needs to sort it out.
