Wonderful news everybody; The Chuckle brothers are back on our screens very soon.

Yup Barry and Paul will be back on telly on Channel 5 on 16 June after almost nine years away.

New show Chuckle Time, will apparently see them introducing funny clips from the internet as well those sent in by the audience while the brothers will also take part in sketches. Sounds good to me...to you...to me (sorry).

Taking to Twitter, Paul, 70, asked 'are you ready for a chuckle?' God, yes, Paul. Some have us have been waiting since 2009.

A source revealed to the Sun: "It's going to be fun for all the family, a bit like You've Been Framed but with more of the brothers' own input.

"Paul and Barry have spent their lives falling over and making the public laugh, now they are watching us make fools of ourselves."

The pair certainly take their 'no slacking' catchphrase to heart, with a career spanning over 50 years, first appearing on TV back in 1967 on Opportunity Knocks. They went on to create the Chuckle Hounds in 1985, before hitting kids' TV gold with ChuckleVision in 1987 - the show ran for a whopping 22 years, before winding down in 2009.

Since then they've kept themselves busy with guest spots on Benidorm and Celebrity Pointless - they also do the odd nightclub PA and are pretty frequent social media users. And let's not forget the pantomimes the guys find themselves involved with every Christmas.

The pair also did a 20-minute slot at Bestival in 2015, which the pair said was the biggest crowd they ever performed in front of. I think it's fair to say that is up there with every single audience members top five gigs of all time, no question.

Chuckle Time is reportedly booked for 12 one-hour shows and Channel 5 on 16 June from 5.05pm get them reminders set, LADs.
