It's a show that's addictive to watch. Four weird people cook dinner and judge each other while making offensive and stupid remarks. It's part cooking but mostly just embarrassing yourself on national telly for £1,000 cash prize. Solid model.
But something has happened for the first time in 12 years of the show and it's not a lemon meringue pie that actually looks edible. A contestant has been removed from the show in the middle of the series and the producers are keeping tight-lipped about it. What's going on?

The news that a contestant has been taken off the show comes hot on the heels of the anniversary of the most awkward moment ever on Come Dine With Me. You remember when Peter read out the scores and found out he had come last. He accused to winner of sabotaging his night and started attacking her personally.
He was a sore loser, to say the least.
If you've forgotten - and how could you - here is his savage retort to the winner.
"You ruined my night, completely, so you could have the money. But I hope now you spend it on getting some lessons in grace and decorum, because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on."

Back to Rory. Where has he gone? Or more to the point, why has he gone?
What does it take to get removed from Come Dine With Me mid-show? Apparently calling someone a "dump truck" is acceptable so we know it's got to be worse than that.
Rory took part on the Central Scotland edition of the show and after 'entertaining' the guests at his home, which did not go well and he was scored lowly, he was removed.
No contestant has ever been removed in the show's history. Narrator Dave Lamb has said Rory was removed because of an incident after the show and would not be returning.

A bit of a fireball, earlier in the series Rory had a blazing row with another contestant. Not over cooking, religion, football or politics - topics which get people a bit hot under the collar. No, it was over which member of Take That is more talented.
Rory is a major fan of Gary Barlow, and does not like people knocking him. I think either Rory got so angry that someone dared put down his idol, Gary Barlow, that he got a bit violent OR Gary Barlow has decided to hire him as his personal chef. I think it's clearly one of the two.
Rory's vanishing act has led angry and confused viewers to Twitter where they have been asking for Come Dine With Me to shed light on what happened.
We'll just have to wait for Barlow himself to step in and tell us what's what.
