Damon Wayans Rants About His 'Lethal Weapon' Co-Star Clayne Crawford On Twitter

Apparently Crawford's on-set behaviour had become too much for everyone

Being on a film set can be difficult. There are a lot of hidden dangers that can cause injury, and that's before you get to the fact that you might not always get on famously with your co-stars.

The latest show to fall foul of - shall we say - 'health and safety' issues is Lethal Weapon. Warner Brothers, who run the show, have had to take action recently to get rid of one of the show's stars, Clayne Crawford, for a couple of on-set incidents.

In fact, the actor's behaviour in the workplace allegedly came close to meaning that the show could not be renewed for another season.

Now, his co-star Damon Wayans has shared 'evidence' of one such incident in which he was struck with a bit of shrapnel in the back of the head.

Now, let's be clear, this is not saying that Crawford actually hit him with the bottle. In fact, the details are pretty difficult to come by, but Wayans seems pretty unwilling to work with Crawford again regardless.

After the show was renewed for another season without Crawford, Wayans tweeted his displeasure with his former colleague.

In a series of social media posts, he tweeted pictures from the set that said: "Now that the fate of the show is solidified...

"I'd like to address the TWITTER outrage with this video and image to follow. 'directedby@ClayneCrawford.

Twitter

He followed that with another post that said: "Below is a rendering seeking to explain yesterday's incident. It turs out here was a second shooter, to Damon's left, on the other side of the pillar behind which his character was crouched, which accounts for what he heard from his left side"

Twitter

He followed that up with the same hashtag. Then, a third tweet showed a picture of a cut on his head that said: "How does the shrapnel from this hit me on the opposite side of the head?"

Twitter

In the most revealing portion of this bizarre Twitter rant, after which Wayans deleted all the posts and made his profile private, said: "Since @warnerbrostv is not defending me at all.. here's another photo of images other people were posting in and around the lot. Not me! He became UNINSURABLE! Relished in making female cry. And stuck fear in the cast and crew. #dontblameme"

Twitter

The picture showed Crawford's face on a sticker that read: "Clayne Crawford is an emotional terrorist."

Confused? You should be.

The one thing that we know about this is that Crawford will not return for the renewed season 3 of Lethal Weapon. He will be replaced as Riggs (played in the film by Mel Gibson) with Seann William Scott.

Crawford has released a statement in which he apologised for some of his behaviour, but didn't address these tweets specifically.

On Instagram, he said: "I absolutely love, respect and care for my crew and cast, and would never intentionally jeopardize so many jobs,

"I am incredibly sorry if my passion for doing good work has ever made anyone feel less than comfortable on our set, or feel less than celebrated for their efforts.

"Furthermore, I apologize to all the crew and cast for any negative attention Lethal Weapon is receiving because of these incidents."

Well, that clears all of that up, then.
