Danny Dyer Is Off To Join His Daughter On 'Love Island'

Not content with sorting out the complicated matter of Brexit, the popular Cockney wideboy is apparently jetting off to join his daughter

Love Island, eh? Yeah, you claim you'd rather spend your time watching football, or down the pub, or doing pretty much anything else. But you know you're all watching it. Am I right? Of course I am.

However, things might just be about to get interesting enough for get even the hardiest of Love Island naysayers (and you're fooling no one, by the way).

Danny Dyer is apparently on his way to the villa.

Yes, that's right. Not content with sorting out the complicated matter of Brexit and calling former prime minister David Cameron a 'twat' on live telly, the Cockney wideboy is apparently jetting off to join his daughter, who is confusingly called Dani Dyer, on the ITV 2 show.

This could all be a load of bollocks, though. Danny Dyer is a pretty famous wind-up merchant. The guy made a whole series about how much he believes in UFOs, for Christ's sake (Seriously, THAT is worth losing some precious time out of your life to watch).

This morning, he tweeted to confirm the news:

Now, that can only mean that he is going to autograph a poster for one of his critically-annihilated but usually popular films.

The poster in question belongs to Jack Fincham, who is in a relationship with Dyer's daughter on the show.

Either way, the introduction of Danny Dyer to most things makes them funnier - hell, I might even consider tuning into EastEnders now.

It looks as though this will form part of a 'Meet the Parents' section of the show. It had previously been announced that Dyer wouldn't be joining the others at the villa for that due to 'prior commitments' but it seems that now he might have had made a dramatic U-turn.

An unnamed source (which always sounds so reliable, doesn't it?) had originally told the Sun: "Danny had booked time off work long before his daughter Dani had any inkling she would be going on Love Island.

"All his time off the soap had to be pre-booked with EastEnders to stop all the cast being off work at the same time.

"He has things already lined up during his time off, but there is a chance he could do a U-turn and change his mind to support Dani. The show has really grown on him.

"But as things stand, he has prior commitments and won't be joining his daughter in Mallorca."

Well, that didn't age well. Hopefully Danny will actually follow through. Stuff the World Cup, let's get stuck into some Love Island, LADs.
