The creators of Deadpool have said fans won't have long to wait until they get to see Ryan Reynolds back in his famous red lycra, as the third movie is on its way very soon.
Rob Liefeld has confirmed he plans to make another instalment of the anti-hero series in the near future.
Taking to Twitter, the writer allowed fans to ask him some questions and responding to one, he said a trilogy was in the works, saying: "It will totally happen!!! Soon!!"

But this isn't the first time he has stated his wish to make another film in the mega-successful franchise
Earlier this year, he promised it would happen, writing: "Nothing like deadlines to clear your head. Let me be clear Deadpool 3 will happen, some form, some fashion. That's not a concern to me. Disney paid $60 billion for Fox and Deadpool is the most valuable asset in today's market. Makes more than X-Men films."
However, the star of the film Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly in the past that he wasn't too sure how things were going to pan out after the studio merger.

He said: "I really genuinely don't know a thing about it. I read that [CEO and chairman] Bob Iger felt that there's plenty of room in that universe to have a rated-R character like Deadpool.
"This is completely conjecture on my part, but I wouldn't imagine that Disney bought Fox to dismantle it or something like that. I think that Disney bought Fox so it could have that in its arsenal."
And the director of the Deadpool 2, David Leitch, has already put his hat in the ring for a third film.

Speaking about the possibility of another movie, he said in the past: "In everybody's world, everybody wants to make it. So, if I was ever approached to make Deadpool 3, my answer would be, 'Hell yes,' but I think there's a lot of things going on in the shake-up with Fox and Disney and where that whole Marvel world after Endgame is gonna be. When the dust settles, let's hope that Deadpool lives. That's kind of ironic, right?"
He added: "I have a lot of ideas [for the third movie] but I'm keeping them close to my vest. So, if they ever come and I'm grateful enough for them to call, I can share all my crazy ideas."
