Just a heads up, there's some hefty spoilers for Dirty John in here, so if you haven't finished watching it yet and don't want to know how it all turns out click away now. Seriously, just click here and forget all about this.

OK, so now all we have left are people who have already seen Dirty John in its entirety or those who don't mind SPOILERS. Right, lets carry on then.

Dirty John has been a massive success since it hit Netflix earlier this month, following the creepy true-life story of John Meehan, played by Eric Bana and Debra Newell, played by Connie Britton.

Debra falls head over heels for John, but it turns out he's not the person she thought he was and before she knows it, she's in deep.

Fans of the show may be pleased to learn that a second season is planned, with Deadline reporting that Bravo ordered two seasons of the show straight off the bat.

Now, if you've watched the full season- or listened to the podcast by Los Angeles Times journo Christopher Goffard- you'll know that a second season won't make sense, given that John was killed at the end.

The second season will instead feature an entirely new story, but is likely to be a 'true crime'

According to Deadline: "Season two will be a different and self-contained story, with details to come at a later date."

Deadline also reports that Dirty John will use an anthology-style format, similar to American Horror Story and Haunting of Hill House, reusing the same cast but in entirely different roles.

But in a recent interview with The Wrap, Dirty John star Britton was asked about a second season and didn't reveal much, responding: "I actually haven't even really had a conversation about that. But that is going to be completely different story."

To confuse things further, however, Bana told The Project that he wouldn't be in the second season.

Appearing on the show, he confirmed a second season was planned but added that 'Connie and my story is just the one season'.

He added: "So the story of John Meehan and Debra Newell is just this one season.

"Two would be a different story-line."

Guess we'll just have to sit tight for more details then.
