Game of Thrones is back on our screens and life has meaning again, doesn't it? The seventh season is currently airing, but thoughts are already turning to the eighth and final one.
Some fans were left feeling pretty pissed off at the fact the final season is only going to be six episodes long, but last night it was revealed that the length of each episode could make it the longest yet.

HBO programming president Casey Bloys told the Hollywood Reporter: "I imagine they'll be longer but ... I'm not sure how long.

"We haven't had that discussion yet because I don't know how long the episodes are going to be. Two hours per episode seems like it would be excessive, but it's a great show, so who knows?"

I'm sure he won't get many complaints from fans - imagine, two hours of GoT a week.
And if the thought of it all being over soon is a little bit much for you, don't worry - the prequel spin-off series is currently being developed.
Bloys said the prequel wouldn't air for 'at least a year' after the finale, so it wouldn't take anything anyway from the original series.

He said: "The number one priority in all of this is the final season of Game of Thrones. I don't want to do anything with a spin-off or anything that detracts or distracts from that.
"That season will happen, and my guess is it would be at least a year before you saw anything else.

"What I don't want is the attention to be drawn from the final season, which I think is going to be epic and amazing, and somehow have the distraction of a new Game of Thrones airing right after that.
"It's best to separate it and that's what we'll do."
Good news all round then.
