Extreme Reality TV Shows Around The World Are Enough To Make Ant And Dec Blush

Extreme Reality TV Shows Around The World Are Enough To Make Ant And Dec Blush

Nudity and no laws.

It seems that reality TV shows are just trying to outdo each other with controversy these days.

Maybe it all started with The Osbournes (in actual fact, it was An American Family back in 1973), but Ozzy and his family seemed to really propel the 'fly-on-the-wall' concept into the limelight.

Since then, the 'reality TV show' idea has been chopped and changed more than David Beckham's hair in the '90s. These days, half of them are 'partially scripted'.

Gary Oldman, famed English actor, once said: "[As for the people] who pass for heroes in entertainment today, don't even get me started. It's like the old saying about mediocrity: The mediocre are always at their best. They never let you down. Reality TV to me is the museum of social decay."

He has a point. Where do we draw the line? As On Demand TV and 'binge-watching' begins to eclipse your standard TV programming, how do TV networks ensure that their particular show smashes ratings? Rather than looking for quality content, many are simply gunning for controversy and sex. Because, let's face it, sex sells. When Myleene Klass appeared on the English version of I'm A Celeb and showered in 'that' white bikini, ratings boomed.

How far does TV have to go? Check out some of the most controversial shows from across the globe that are happening right now...

'I'm A Celeb' In Germany Is Full Of Nudity

Germany's version of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! is the rudest ever as contestants go topless.

I'm sure this is doing wonders for TV ratings as the stars don't seem particularly arsed about the cameras.

The show, called Ich Bin Ein Star - Holt Mich Hier Raus! is very similar to the UK version, with eating tasks and contestants showering underneath the waterfall.

However, this year's cast include Playboy model Sarah Joelle Jahnel, actress Nicole Mieth and TV personality Gina-Lisa Lohfink, who have been happily stripping off.

It makes Myleene Klass' shower scenes seem PG.

Buzzfeed have reported that the eating trials are much tougher on the German version as they're forced to eat double the amount of creepy crawlies and animals' private parts. Yum.

Hunger Games-Style Show Which 'Allows Rape And Murder'.

A few months ago, the organiser of a Hunger Games style TV reality show shockingly boasted that 'everything was allowed' - including 'rape' and 'murder'.

Titled Game2: Winter, the programme was being styled as 'an ultimate nine-month Siberian survival test' and will see contestants stranded in remote Taiga with bears and wolves in minus 40C.

Screened around the world, the online project will be available to watch 24/7 and will see 30 male and female contestants seek to stay alive in wilderness populated with wolves and bears, the Siberian Times reported.

The rules of the contest appallingly state: "Everything is allowed. Fighting, alcohol, murder, rape, smoking, anything."

Despite making the outrageous claim, the organiser also said that contestants are told: "[They] must understand that the police will come and take [them] away. We are on the territory of Russia, and obey the laws of the Russian Federation."

Contestants from different countries seeking a £1.3million prize will be issued with knives and will be expected to hunt and fish to eat.

The contest is the brainchild of Novosibirsk entrepreneur Yevgeny Pyatkovsky and he said: "We will refuse any claim of participants even if they were to be killed or raped. There have been no reality TV projects before that stay on air 24/7.

"Probably all of you have watched the Lost TV series, but surviving in a tropical climate is quite different from trying to stay alive in the Siberian Taiga - boreal forest - at minus 40 degrees Celsius."

The show is due to start on 1 July 2017, with the contestants receiving training from Russia's elite former GRU Spetznaz operatives. Those brave enough to take part can either survive alone or join together into teams.

There is a silver lining for contestants, as those who get into danger or cannot face the gruelling conditions can use a satellite connected 'panic button'. If they press it they will be rescued, and allowed to leave the show.

Completely Naked 'Love Island' - Which Includes Celebrities

Before you say it, I know naked dating isn't exactly new. Channel 4 shocked the public (and probably your nan) more than they thought possible when they brought out Naked Attraction. A show which features people literally putting their bits on display to be judged by a man or woman they've never met before.

Well, now Germany's gone one step further and made a show that's pretty much like Love Island, but if all of the contestants were without clothes, all of the time. It's not like Naked Attraction where you're in a well-lit studio and there's only a few people around you. You're literally in front of a camera crew and lots of other people all vying for each other's attention.

May I be the first to say - fuck that. It sounds like a nightmare come to life. Anyway, it's called Adam sucht Eva which translated, means 'Adam searches for Eve'.

BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE...

It's not just all little people from 'regular' life. Well, there's 11 'normies'. But, they've chucked in a few German celebrities for the hell of it. Seven of them to be exact.

So, if you've got any sort of body confidence issues and don't like the idea of being compared to a celebrity while naked - this isn't the show for you.

The MailOnline reported that an advert for the show was aired recently which claimed: "In the new season of the dating show the love affair will be more exciting, emotional and conflicted.

"There are several of Adam and Eve washed ashore - naked as God created them."

I don't know about you, but I need to go sit in the shower and contemplate life for a few hours after reading all this.
