Fans Want Ant-Man To Save The Avengers In Endgame By Crawling Inside Thanos

When you wipe out half the population of the universe, surely, you deserve to be punished appropriately.

As we get ever so closer to Avengers: Endgame being released on big screens around the world, fan theories about what will happen have been going into overdrive.

Some theories sound pretty plausible and others are just ridiculous.

But one idea seems to persist in comments sections everywhere and it has to do with Ant-Man.

As we know, Paul Rudd's character (who was mysteriously absent from Infinity War) is able to shrink and grow in size thanks to his super-suit. As a result, fans are hoping he will be the one to save the Avengers by crawling inside Thanos and rapidly expand.

Now, depending on who you look to for the theory, many reckon Ant-Man should enter through Thanos' bum, because that would prove to be both humorous and painful.

Others suggest the superhero could technically enter through any orifice, be it the ear, the mouth, the nose, even the urethra. Either way, Thanos would end up as a big mess of purple liquid.

The idea came around 2017, according to Vox, when fans were discussing the most painful ways for Thanos to be killed. When you wipe out half the population of the universe, surely, you deserve to be punished appropriately.

The theory has gathered so much pace that Rudd was asked what he thought during a press interview for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Rudd seemed genuinely taken aback by the strange thought, but he didn't deny it did he? Case closed. When asked he if thought the idea would work, Paul simply replied with: "I don't know. But I think it's a question for Thanos.

"If there's one thing we learned from Infinity War it's that Thanos can take a lot of punishment. Now my mind is racing. It's an interesting [theory]."

It most certainly is Mr Rudd and it's one that you're not disproving at the moment. Interesting, very interesting indeed.

There's even an online petition calling for the scene to happen in Endgame. That might be taking things a bit far.

We only have four weeks until the movie premieres around the world and we'll finally get to find out whether Ant-Man crawls into Thanos and explodes. We know that would surely be an ending that would spark cheers and applause in cinemas across the universe.
