Fans Think Walter White Is Still Alive And Will Be In Breaking Bad Movie

With a Breaking Bad movie now officially on the way (yup, we now have a trailer and everything!), fans have been left to speculate about what the next instalment of the neo-Western crime drama has in store for us. Some believe there will be a big twist regarding a certain Walter White.

When the first official trailer for El Camino dropped yesterday we were given an official release date of 11 October, but little was revealed by way of plot summary. Our only clue is a short clip of Skinny Pete being interrogated by police, telling them that he has no idea where his one-time friend Jesse Pinkman is.

But that hasn't stopped some people speaking out about who else they think might be making a return to our screens, including the series' original protagonist Walter White.

Despite being supposedly killed off the end of the fifth season, some viewers believe he's actually not dead at all. Sure, he was in a pretty bad way when he was laying on the floor as the camera slowly zoomed out, but we've seen characters come back from much worse in TV and film.

One person tweeted: "Am I the only one who thinks Walter White is alive and will come back in the movie? #BreakingBad."

Another said: "I really do think that Walter White is still alive. I mean did we ever actually hear them say he was dead? We just assumed he was."

Someone else commented: "I feel at the end of the movie Walter White gonna be alive."

A fourth mused: "If Walter White is actually alive at the end of the breaking bad movie as like a twist and he's being held by police or whatever ima lose my s***."

Some other fans reckon it would be 'pointless' to see a return of Heisenberg.

One wrote: "For me I rather not see him in it BC he'd be in prison forever. And wouldn't make sense BC he got shot."

Another person added: "Locals wanting Walter White to still be alive and kicking. What would they do with him, it'd just be pointless?"

But even Bryan Cranston, the actor behind Walter White, has previously hinted that his character could still be alive and kicking when he appeared on talk show Conan last year.

"Maybe Walter White did get away with it," Cranston told host Conan O'Brien.

"Was there a coroner's report? Was there a listing in the obituaries? No!"

Sure, he may have been semi-joking, but Cranston raised a fair point. We never definitely saw Walt die; we never saw his eyes actually close or that last breath being taken.

What do you think?
