Fans Want Jackass 4, But As A Tribute To Ryan Dunn

Fans Want Jackass 4, But As A Tribute To Ryan Dunn

Dunn was tragically killed aged 34 back in 2011

After the news that the Jackass crew might fancy putting together a fourth movie, there seems to be a general opinion that it would be a great idea, but only if the film were to be a tribute to their fallen comrade Ryan Dunn.

Recently, Chris Raab - better known as 'Raab Himself' - confirmed that while the team of silly stunt men would mostly be on board with making Jackass 4 happen, it would be weird without Dunn, who died in a tragic car accident in 2011.

The gang recently reunited, sparking rumours of a fourth film.

Speaking to Loudwire, Raab - who now presents a podcast called The Bathroom Break Podcast - said: "I get the feeling that everyone's pretty interested in it. I'm not sure that it would ever happen. Ryan [Dunn, who tragically died in 2011] was a huge part of that, so it's sort of weird without him.

"We've got that question about the CKY thing [the video series that evolved into Jackass]. 'Is there going to be a CKY 5?' Nah, that'll never happen. As far as Jackass, I would think maybe it would happen, but I don't know because I'm not in that world enough to know.

"I probably would be, if asked... I feel like if [Jeff] Tremaine and Spike [Jonze] and [Johnny] Knoxville said, 'Hey, let's do it,' then I imagine it would go forward. If they were to say it, I don't think there would be push-back from others."

Hey, if the lads are interested in it, why not?

Most people online seem pretty keen on the idea of getting the old band back together. However, a lot of people have said that it would be a great idea to dedicate their latest effort to Dunn.

One Twitter user said: "I saw something saying the whole Jackass crew wants to make a 4th movie, and while every part of me wants that - it'll never be the same without Ryan Dunn."

Another said: "Jackass 4 is a great idea as long as it pays tribute to Ryan Dunn x"

A third added: "I'd love a Jackass 4 but as a tribute to Ryan Dunn!"

There you have it.

It seems as if the Jackass crew always have Ryan Dunn close to their thinking. Hell, Bam Margera even has a tattoo of his friend on his chest.

The group also regularly post tributes to him on their various social media channels, particularly around this time of year as Dunn's tragic accident took place on 20 June 2011.

Either way, another film might be too much to ask for because, according to Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville isn't interested in returning, preferring instead to protect the show's legacy.

Steve-O told In Depth with Graham Bensinger: "The short answer is that Knoxville is not interested in doing that,

"There's been emails from some of the other guys, particularly one guy, who periodically has sent group emails. 'Come on guys, let's make another movie. Everybody wants it, I get asked everyday if we're going to make another movie'.

"Knoxville responded to the last one with, 'I get asked every day if we're going to make another movie as well, but I would rather people ask for another movie than, 'Why did you make that last movie?'' He wanted to sort of keep the legacy intact, and I can't really argue with it."
