Game Of Thrones Fan Theory Claims Jaime Lannister Might Still Be Alive

Game Of Thrones Fan Theory Claims Jaime Lannister Might Still Be Alive

Some think he could very well make an appearance in the final episode

Right, the last episode of Game of Thrones seems to have divided fans, and though most are in agreement that it looked incredible, they also thought just too much was crammed into the episode.

It was even voted the worst GOT episode ever, which seems a bit harsh.

One of the most controversial scenes from episode five, 'The Bells', was the deaths of Jaime and Cersei Lannister - which some fans have declared a bit 'meh'.

After eight seasons of tension and build up, watching Jaime go from villain to hero, and Cersei become more bitter and crazed with every passing episode, for them to just be killed by some falling bricks seemed a bit of a cop out.

Well, some fans have their suspicions that Jaime isn't actually dead and could very well make an appearance in the final episode next week - Cersei wasn't so lucky, I'm afraid.

Maybe Jaime didn't die in the wreckage of the Red Keep.

Writing on Tumblr under the username WeedsAreFlowersToo, one viewer claimed it was strange that none of the cast members had taken to social media to say goodbye to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's character.

She wrote: "Why isn't ANYONE acknowledging that Jaime Lannister just died??? Why is nobody in the cast thanking Nik for his performance? Why did Pilou (Euron Greyjoy) and Lena's (Cersei Lannister) Insta post not say anything about Jaime dying? Why isn't Nik saying anything about what he thinks of the scene? Why did he make a post saying goodbye to Lena, and not to the character he played for 8 years? Why is there no talk of Jaime's death in the game revealed?"

Everyone piled in to say farewell to Lena Headey, including Nikolaj himself, who paid tribute to his co-star in an Instagram post.

He wrote: "The best, sweetest most wonderful sister from another mother @iamleanaheadey. That was a fun decade."

So, unless poor Nik was an incredibly unpopular member of the cast, it seems a bit strange that no one has bothered to give him a proper send off.

But this isn't the only piece of evidence WeedsAreFlowersToo put forward to back up her theory.

She also contacted a journalist at Entertainment Weekly who has done a series of interviews with most of the stars of GOT who have died this series, including Lena and Rory McCann - the Hound - who both died in episode five.

When she asked him why Nikolaj's interview hadn't been published yet, he said: "Holding that one for a bit..."

Surely that's proof, right? HE'S ALIVE!

What do you reckon? Could Jaime have survived being crushed by the Red Keep? Or is it just wishful thinking? Come tell us your side of the story at Game of Thrones: Westeros Posting on Facebook.

The final episode of Game of Thrones will air on Sky Atlantic at 2am on Monday 20 May, then repeated at 9pm that same day.
