Game Of Thrones Star Hints That There Could Be More Dragons

Game Of Thrones Star Hints That There Could Be More Dragons

There's only one dragon left - or is there?

WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES.

(ALTHOUGH, IF YOU'VE NOT SEEN IT YET, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING?)

As we approach the end of Game of Thrones forever, things are starting to come together a bit.

The fight between living and dead is over, and the fight to sit on the uncomfortable metal chair continues unabated.

It's going to be close though. Daenerys Targaryen has lost most of her Unsullied warriors, and a whole heap of Dothraki bloodriders.

Oh, and she's only got one dragon left of her original three. Not so much 'Mother of Dragons' these days as 'Mother of Dragon'.

Whoops.

But is that really the case?

A hint dropped by one of the stars of the show seems to indicate that there might be more to come dragon-wise.

Pilou Asbaek - you'd know him better as Euron Greyjoy - recently posted a photo on his Instagram account. While the shot was just a set photo of him acting the fool, as per usual, it did contain an interesting caption.

Asbaek said: "Gone with the wind....!!!? Maybe.... can't wait for episode 5....there will be light! And death.... and coffee cups... Oreos...?...you might see a dragon...or two...or none..."

Let's focus in on that last bit here: 'you might see a dragon...or two...or none'.

Well, none is impossible. We know there is one left.

Is he hinting that there are more?

That's not a new theory. Fans of the show have been suggesting that Drogon - Dany's surviving dragon - might have managed to produce some more.

Remember all those seasons back when he disappeared for ages? No-one had any clue where he was. He was spotted by Jorah Mormont (RIP) and Tyrion Lannister near Valyria (the ancient home of dragonlords) as they made their way to Meereen, but otherwise we've no idea.

Jorah saw Drogon in Valyria.

Was he off procreating?

Also, in the trailer for episode five - which we've helpfully posted at the top of this article - Euron Greyjoy can be seen looking on in confused horror at something. We also hear a dragon roar at that moment.

Why would he be confused by just one dragon? After all, he's seen them before. He's shot one out of the air with his massive crossbow, hasn't he?

What's he so worried about?
HBO

Perhaps he's seen not one, but many dragons.

Or, perhaps Pilou Asbaek is just playing like his character and being a top-level troll.

As ever, we'll just have to wait and see.
