Earlier this year, it was announced beloved sitcom Gavin and Stacey was returning for a one-off Christmas special, much to the delight of fans.

It's been nine years since they last graced out screens and we're all keen to find out how the gang are getting on. But while we might not know how Smithy, Stacey and Gavalar are doing, actors James Corden, Joanna Page and Matt Horne are clearly still top pals, if this video of them in a club is anything to go by.

Corden and Horne looked to be having the time of their lives as they danced along to Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' in Tiger Tiger in Cardiff recently.

Their fun night out, which seemingly took place during a break in filming, caught the eye of a hen party who were in the club at the time and filmed the stars - and you'll be pleased to know that they seem to be just as lovely in real life as their TV alter-egos.

One of the members of the hen party Deborah Lewis, from Tredegar, told WalesOnline: "They were very fun and welcoming.

"They had loads of fans queuing to meet them and they were so patient. Luckily for me I was sat right next to them so felt as if I was inn my own VIP spot."

Also in attendance was Melanie Walters (who plays Stacey's mum Gwen), who was dancing and singing along with the others.

"They made the evening even more memorable for us," Deborah added.

The Bafta-winning comedy commenced filming this month, and Christmas decorations have been spotted on a house in South Wales.

Locals are made up that the cast and crew are back, with café owner Marco Zaeraschi telling the BBC: "I could've done cartwheels on the promenade when I heard.

"It's just brought a buzz back to the town. Gavin and Stacey put Barry back on the map and has done wonders for Barry Island as well.

"It will be interesting to see Christmas trees, decorations and Christmas lights in the middle of July."

As yet no plot details have been revealed, but in a statement creators Ruth Jones and Corden said: "Over the last ten years we've talked a lot about Gavin and Stacey - where they might be today and what their lives might look like.

"And so in secret we took the plunge and wrote this one-hour special. We've loved revisiting Barry and Essex again and bringing the characters back together has been a joy.

"We're so excited to get the chance to work with our fabulous cast and crew once more and to give fans of the show a festive treat this Christmas. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen."
