Now then... here we are. Three episodes in, three to go. We're at the halfway point and boy, have things been intense.

In the last instalment, we watched on as Arya Stark quite frankly kicked ass before plunging a knife into the Night King, officially making her the GoT G.O.A.T.

But fans watching the episode noticed something that led them to predict Sansa Stark will be the one to take care of Cersei Lannister.

According to the theory, reported by Hollywood Life, it seems unlikely that Arya Stark will get to kill both the Night King and Cersei as well, leading to the possibility that it could be Sansa...

Stick with us because it's not just a process of elimination here.

Taking things way back when to episode uno, we see Arya trying to fit in and be like one of the LADs. Her brother Jon eventually presents her with her very own sword, when he jokingly tells her: "Stick 'em with the pointy end." Ringing any bells?

Fast forward to 'The Long Night' episode and this time it's Arya handing Sansa a knife with the same advice.

A worried Sansa explains that she's never had to use a knife on anyone, which is when Arya echoes the advice she was given: "Hit them with the pointy end."

Writing for Hollywood Life, Avery Thompson pointed out that Sansa has been trained by Cersei and Littlefinger - she even said in season 7 that she 'learned a great deal' from the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

But let's not forget that there are only a few people from the other side who Cersei would allow to be anywhere near her - one of them being Sansa...

Dun, dun, duuuuuun.

So, does this mean it could be Sansa Stark on the Iron Throne when the season comes to a close? Researchers from the Technical University of Munich would argue no...

They have predicted who is most likely to take the top spot, with algorithms suggesting that Daenerys Targaryen has the highest chance (99 percent) of surviving the harrowing Game of Thrones world, with Tyrion Lannister following swiftly behind with a survival rate of 97 percent.

According to the study, being born in Winterfell to the House of Stark - as well as only being married once - seems to increase the chances that Sansa Stark will be eliminated in the upcoming season, as her predicted likelihood of death is 73 percent.
